Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support in these highly unusual and rapidly moving times.
Further to our announcement yesterday that students will transition to off-campus learning for the final week of Term I 2020, I write to provide advice about special arrangements for those parents who are healthcare providers operating at the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic and emergency service personnel.
We recognise that medical professionals, including doctors, nurses and pathologists and pharmacists, involved in treating and containing the spread of the virus and emergency services personnel must have the opportunity to continue to serve in their crucial role.
Accordingly, the School will provide on-campus (Prep – Year 10) student supervision for their off-campus learning program during normal school hours for children of these parents from Monday 23 March until the scheduled end of Term I 2020 on Friday 27 March upon request. Students will attend their normal campus for this purpose and will complete the work set by their classroom teacher. Social distancing and appropriate hygiene practices will be in place.
If you are a healthcare provider engaged in efforts combatting COVID-19 or work in the emergency services and you require care for your Prep – Year 10 child, please contact the relevant person indicated below by 3pm tomorrow, Friday 20 March, to enable us to put appropriate arrangements in place.
- Grimwade House (Prep to Year 6) – Nathan Boller, email@example.com
- Wadhurst (Years 7 and 8) – Greg Caldwell, firstname.lastname@example.org
- Senior School (Years 9 and 10) – Ben Hanisch, email@example.com
I trust you will join me in sending our very best wishes and thanks to the medical professionals and emergency care professionals carrying out such vital work for the benefit of all of us.
